Sametime Developers Toolkit 2.5 Windows NT/2000

Yes, there definitely is a lot of documentation available about the Sametime API. I thought that the "Working with the Sametime Client Toolkits" Redbook (436 pages), the "Sametime 2.5 Java Toolkit Tutorial" (125 pages) or the "Sametime 2.5 Java Toolkit Developer's Guide" (189 pages) would be helpful, but a majority of the material discusses how to use the Sametime UI components in applets. Unfortunately, that makes all of that documentation irrelevent when it comes to developing a Sametime bot.

For anyone else out there attempting to create a Sametime bot, you'll save a lot of time by restricting your reading to John Rooney's article on LDD, the "Create and enable Sametime bots" tutorial on DeveloperWorks and chapter 4 of the Developer's Guide. Hopefully, a Redbook on developing Sametime bots will appear on the horizon soon. Those of us on the bleeding edge would appreciate very much.
